Homeschool Support Program

Unlocking the Potential of the Oasis Homeschool Support Program

Discover the Oasis Homeschool Support Program and unleash the full potential of your child's education. Our unique offering empowers students with personalized one-on-one instruction at home while harnessing the advantages of the Oasis learning environment to cater to their academic and social needs.

We invite homeschool students to join us for in-person classes at Oasis three days a week, where they can enjoy the flexibility of choosing their preferred three days of attendance. Students can also select from a variety of language and math classes, including English, Spanish, and Mandarin, and all school field trips, cultural events, sports, dances, and social activities.

By spending three days a week at school, students delve into group work, engage in project-based learning, and revel in enriching opportunities that deepen their passions, both at home and within our vibrant school community. This program not only nurtures academic growth but also cultivates vital life skills such as accountability, time management, and the pursuit of rigorous learning, all within an enjoyable and engaging setting.

Our Homeschool Support Program comes equipped with a carefully crafted curriculum, testing, and structured learning experiences at school. These educational resources, including textbooks, are available for annual rental from the school, bridging the connection between students' school days and their at-home learning experiences. We go further by providing curriculum maps, rubrics, and organizational tools to seamlessly blend resources used both at school and at home. Students enrolled in this program receive progress reports every trimester for each class they are undertaking, offering a comprehensive overview of their academic journey and providing tangible documentation of their learning achievements.

While we can provide these tools to families, it's important to note that students in the Homeschool Support Program must also be enrolled in another educational program to fulfill legal requirements, such as a Private School Satellite Program, a charter school affiliation, or the completion of a Private School Affidavit.

What are the expectations for students?

As a part of our unique educational model, we set clear expectations for students and home educators. Students are encouraged to be proactive in advocating for their learning needs and fostering open communication with their home educator, as well as teachers and staff at Oasis. Balancing resources from home and school, self-directed study, and continued progress at home requires ongoing dialogue to create the optimal learning environment. For this reason, we recommend that students be in 3rd grade or above to join our Homeschool Support Program.

What are the expectations for Home Educators?

In tandem with students, home educators are expected to collaborate with their child's dedicated Oasis educational team. This collaborative approach allows for the seamless blending of learning content between in-school and out-of-school days. Parents play a crucial role in providing the school with monthly work samples and updating curriculum maps as needed. Communication with Oasis teachers is vital to delivering feedback on students' progress and their evolving educational needs.

The Oasis Homeschool Support Program offers students a flexible, holistic, and enriching educational experience. We invite you to explore this unique opportunity, where academic excellence, personal growth, and a love for learning converge. Join us in shaping a brighter future for your child's education, where the journey is as enriching as the destination.
